Humulus Rueuze, our Terreux classic, is a variation on our take on the traditional Belgian-style lambic gueuze with a true Bruery twist: massive amounts of dry hops. This sour blonde aged for upwards of several years in oak barrels before blending barrels together and adding hops for a flavorful, aromatic blend. This is one complex beer, and it’s best consumed fresh.

Paired from a bottle. Aroma is citrus forward and phenolic with a lemon and lemongrass character. Moderately strong pineapple notes. Grassy and spicy herbal notes. Light oak character with medium light acidity. Pours a hazy, yellow gold with a large, rocky white head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers. Medium lacing and small legs. Flavor is moderately acidic with some nice citrus and pineapple notes. Some light lemongrass phenolic notes and oak. Nice moderately strong dry hop notes with nice citrus, tropical fruit and a light grass note. Medium light bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty tasty dry hopped sour but it isn’t lambic like at all. Nice citrus and tropical fruit notes with a balanced sourness that isn’t harsh at all. A very nice beer from the Bruery.

750 ml bottle from the RS, thanks to our trustee for sending, AdamC for the purchase. Well, it smells good. Centennial hop resin, pine, dank weed. Really mild marijuana notes.
The flavor is a mess. Buttery base with pine resin and grass. The texture is slick and oily with a butter coming back in the finish. Lingering resin mix with a buttery finish, gosh damn, this is awful.

75CL Bottle. i hope I’m rating the right one. Got this through hoarders. Cloudy burnt orange. Smells pretty good. Nice aroma. piney, a bit of citrus and mango. soft mouthfeel. very weird taste. I get a lot of popcorn butter at the finish. acid with muddled pine cone and some moldy old fruits. This one is just impossible to rate.
