On tap at Gollem. Deep dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of chocolate, cocoa, roasted malts, light spicy, some dark fruits. Flavour is lots of dark chocolate, light spicy rye, roasted malts, toffee, dark fruits, bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very tasty.

Amsterdam Pubcrawl 2016, @Tap Zuid, van tap. rood/bruin met beperkte kraag. aroma van caramel, bruine suiker/kandij, mout, lichte koffie. Smaken van caramel, donker fruit, droog, rozijn, geroosterde mout, kandij, lichte koffie, chocolade, gebrand, matig zoet, zwak bitter, lage co2.

Tap at Tap Zuid. Clear mahogany with beige head. Lots of caramel and toffee, dried dates, fresh figs, brown sugar, light grass and herbs. Medium sweet and bitter. Bit over medium bodied. Pretty good!

Sampled at Tap Zuid, Amsterdam. Dark brown color with a slight red glare coming through when held into the light, medium sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, light caramel, brown sugar, slightly coffee on the background and somewhat bitter. Medium body, decent carbonation. A bit too sugary I’d say.

Tap at Tap Zuid during pubcrawl. Black with light tan head. Deep roasted chocolate malts, chestnut, mocha. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation, creamy feel.

Tap @ Ledig Erf, medium sample. Dark brown color, medium frothy head. Aroma of caramel and toffee, roast, autumn leaves, slight smoky touch, bit spicy rye. Full bodied taste of chocolate, caramel, slight smoke. Lovely doppelbock.

Tap at Indewildeman, 13th October 16. Pours a watery dark brown beer. Aroma is woody, liquor, malt. Taste is full, palate thin, dark fruit, liquor. It’s OK
