Woops, almost forgot this. Thanx Eric.
This was poured into a stange.
The color had a light golden orange to yellow color with a slim finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. Lacing, uh...not really, there wasn’t anything there.
The smell had a sweet hay/grassy aroma with light sweet crisp malt in the background,.
The taste was basically the same - barely anything different.
On the palate, this one sat fairly light and came across pretty sessionable.
Overall, good American - Kolsch styled ale that I would have again, maybe not an Alaskan Summer ale, but hey I can’t get this on a regular basis and since ABC recently started distributing to Michigan, the least is giving up some of Michigan, thank you New Holland. Cheers.

Bottle; Pours slightly hazed, darker gold with a short white head. Scent is grainy, grassy. Taste is grainy, bitter malt. Pretty much one note here...... and it’s not very good.

Bottle. Grainy barley malt and hay aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Slightly sweet barley malt and lightly bitter herbal hops flavor. Not bad - not great.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled 4/26/2012. Pours lightly hazy golden straw color with a nice 2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Some spotty foamy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of lemon, pear, herbal, floral, cracker, bread, grass, earth, and light pepper. Very nice and well balanced aromas with good strength; spot on for a kolsch. Taste of lemon, grass, pear, pepper, herbal, biscuit, floral, earth, and light toast. Lingering notes of light fruits, grass, herbal, biscuit, earth, and light pepper on the finish for a short bit. Great flavor balance and good complexity; with a nice amount of flavor for being under 5%. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming noticed at all. Overall this is an excellent kolsch! Nice amount of flavor and great balance; extremely smooth and easy to drink as expected. Very well done, and spot on to style. Great choice for a session beer, plus it is year round.

Draft: Hay nose, lemon and corn also there. Clear amber, thin head. Malty, medium body. Moderate hay flavor, less fruity than the aroma. Slightly buttery. Decent stab at a fragile style.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 3/2/12
Aroma: The aroma has some sweet malts, a good amount of fruit, some grains, and bread
Appearance: It pours a clear golden color with a bright white head and medium-heavy lacing
Flavor: It is fairly sweet, fruity and malty, with a decent amount of hop balance on the end palate
Palate: The body is fairly light, slightly crisp feel, with a tingly, but slightly "off" finish on the mouth
Overall Impression: This one is a decent beer, but it just didn’t really do it for me. It had some flaws that were more present then startling. Still, they were there, and I can’t ignore them.
