Cask, Greyfriars, St Andrews. Golden looks with a small white head. A little caramel and fragrant hop in the nose, but all quite restrained. Flavour was similar with some ok citrus character and a lingering bitter finish. Not bad, if a tad dull.

On cask at Harbour Bar, Kirkcaldy - Decent golden body, thin white head. Rather mild nose led by oranges, a bit of cereal. A bit sparkly, and rather perfumed taste that lingers on too long. Not a favourite.

On tap @ the Haymarket. Pours golden with steady bubbles and a nice head. The nose is very intriguing, definitely oranges and then a note of geraniums or other plant pot. The geraniums are not so obvious on the taste but the oranges are still there. The palate has a medium structure with a creamy texture and a nice clean finish. Overall, you’d think the oranges note would be too much but there is good refreshment there too.

Cask @ The Golden Rule, Edin 200612
Light golden, rich white head, good lacing
Aroma of light sweet fruity malt. Similar taste of light caramel malts with some citrus zest, bitter hops and a touch of spice. Finish is fairly lingering bitter with a slight spice note.
Overall - Fairly standard golden ale, bit above average

Cask-conditioned at the Abbotsford, Edinburgh 7/06/2011. Deep gold in colour with a slight white head. Light summer fruits, biscuity malts and a touch of caramel sweetness, leading to a decent bitter finish. Fine.
