Clear ruby ale. Smell is malty fruit and a hint of whisky. I thought it was going to be a bit sweet and sickly but it avoids that. Rich, fruity ale and the whisky brings a bit of boozy sharpness to add an edge to it. Better than I expected.

Bottle from ASDA, Halifax. Clear mid-brown with a small head. The whisky influence is evident and transfers as some smooth sweetened toffee notes in both aroma and taste, which certainly hide its strength to an extent. A bitterness develops in its aftertaste.

Pours a clear dark toffee amber colour with a small frothy beige head. Aroma is a sweetish spiced fruit mince, malt with some whisky. A sweetish malt taste, candy, caramel, fruit mince and vanilla flavours with hint of whisky. Not much bitterness and a bit watery.

Bottle from ASDA. Medium amber with thin, bubbly head. Aroma is sugary, vanilla. Taste too carries this odd sweetness, with little evidence of any whisky. Caramel, toffee, vanilla notes. Kind of thin too. Tasty in a weird kind of way.

Bottled 500ml. -from Vrutak Zagreb. Dark amber coloured with nice red glare, small beige head, caramel and whiff of whiskey in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, toffee, milk chocolate, woot and soft but a bit artificial whisky touch. Not bad.

Bottle from Morrisons. A good pour and a nose of whisky coming from the tankard. The flavour was vanilla and lots of it. No subtlety, no integration, just vanilla across the profile. I do a bit of baking and this was the same vanilla flavour I get from the essence that I use in my cakes. There was no ingredients list on the bottle and I have a suspicion that vanilla flavouring has been added to the beer alongside the whisky as the words on the bottle very carefully make no claim as to barrel aging. Overall I found the beer unpleasant and I have dark suspicions about the brewing process. Avoid.

Bottle. Tawny brown pour with a beige head. Aromas of sweet spice, toffee, dried fruit, very sweet nose. Flavours of various pick 'n' mix sweets/candy, dried fruit, raisin, light toffee, It bit too sweet for my palate plus I can't pick up any whisky notes in this at all, Not my cup of tea.

Bottle from Morrisons, Leicester. Brown/ruby and translucent with a medium off-white head. Light chocolate malt aroma. Sweet malty taste with a metallic edge in the finish. Medium carbonation. Bland, even blander than the original. Not getting any whisky. Waste of money.
