Bottle. Black with a very small beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, faint smoke and bacon. Taste of roasted malts, smoke, liquorice, wood and bacon. Low to moderate bitterness. Low to medium carbonation. Well it’s certainly alright but not my kinda Stout. Wait - they used actual liquorice in this one?

Bottle from Sainsburys. Pours pitch black with a large foamy beige head. Aromas of roasted malts and chocolate with a touch of ash. Taste has roasted malts, ash, a little more chocolate and a little liquorice. Medium to full body with low ish carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Decent old school Stout but nothing memorable.
