Draught @ Kaisla

(backlog) Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, dark chocolate, licorice, hints of spices and coffee. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and spicy with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, mild chili notes and some hoppiness. Finish is smooth, slightly roasty and bitter with hints of chocolate and slightly warming chili notes. Quite balanced and not very extreme.

Tap at Kaisla. Opaque black color, good beige head. Aroma is ashy, toasted and chocolaty aroma. Medium-bodied. Velvety palate. Clean chocolaty, cocoa flavors. Some bitterness in the finish with light peppery notes. Spiceyness could be stronger but same time this brew has no vegetably flavots which is common with coffee and chili. One of the best new Finnish beers lately and the best BH beer for a while.

(Keg at Kaisla, 20150127) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had roasted malts, chocolate and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with mild chilli burning and rather high carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, sweetness, pepper and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, sweetness and bitterness. A good brew but I would have preferred stronger pepper flavour.

Draught @ Kaisla. Aroma is nice with strong chocolate tones, licorice and hints of chili. Flavour has milk chocolate, some lactic tones, slightly salty licorice and mellow chili tones. Also some tobacco and ash in the finish. Aroma was nice but the milky tones try to ruin the show in flavour side.
