Bottle bought at Northumberland Arms, Brentford. Aroma is grainy, resinous. And also chocolate. Understandably there's a spicy edge. Cloudy dark amber. Thick foamy white head. Medium-heavy bitter. Dry spice. Underlying fruit. Marmalade. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. Makes me thinking of a spiced hoppy ESB.
