12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Milwaukee, 10/8/16. Dark brown, thin fizzy tan head, poor retention. Aroma of cocoa, chocolate, roasted malts, lactose, honey. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, apples, cocoa, honey, a bit of sunflower seed. Medium bodied, creamy. Quite nice.

Pretty good stuff. Bittersweet, without being overly sweet. Which is a pleasant change these days. A bit roasty. Sort of going in the direction of Guinness. Easy drinking. Very nice finish.

Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is some roast and a bit of sugary sweetness. Flavor is dry and does have a decent roasted malt with some black coffee bitterness. Finish leaves that coffee roast on the tongue after the swallow. This is ok. The best of the 3 I just had from this brewer. Decent roast albeit thin and watery mouthfeel for a porter.

Draft at Old Fashioned. Opaque blac, nice off white head. Roasty chocolate aroma. A touch of a watery mouthfeel, but the hits the mark stylistically. Mossy, with some borderline Stout nuances. A little thin bodywise, relies a little heavily on the specialty malt. Drinkable, but still sub par and unimpressive. Mild chocolate bitterness in the aftertaste.
