Pours a dark brown, almost black, with a creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate. This is a fine enjoyable stout. However, it’s a bit lacking in body, a bit too weak to be a truly good brew. It should pack more of a punch.

Can from Beer52. Black, fairly thick pour for the strength, nice beige head. Aroma - dry roast and chocolate to the fore, some coffee and tangy berry. Taste is a bit more muted than I was hoping. Dry roast in the main, sweetness, light chocolate and coffee with a touch of tanginess. Medium bodied and somewhere between smooth and chewy. Its nice but when I poured it out I was expecting something better.

330ml can from Beer52: BB 8th March 2023, drank at home on 8th February 2023. Beige head on a black body, malty with a chocolate and ground coffee base which gives off both aromas and flavours throughout. Body could be slicker, but it's only 5.5% I suppose.

Can from Beer 52 – drank at home. Pours almost balck with a large but transient frothy beige head. There’s roasted malts and coffee in the aroma. In the mouth the initial sensation is bitter coffee grounds combined with molasses, but this soon wears off to be replaced by chocolate and milky coffee sweetness. Some bitterness in the finish though. This is excellent.
