(Bottle) Pours clear deep brown black with ruby hints and a good tan head. Nice aroma of chocolate, toffee notes and the slightest smoky hints. Medium body with excellent carbonation that is both smoothly mouthfilling and bright. Flavour is a pleasant balance between some gentle dark toffee sweetness and some burnt smoky notes. There's some gentle berry tartness at the start. The (pleasant) bitter burnt notes stay into a fairly long finish. Very drinkable.

Black with little brown head. Aroma is pure raisins and faint hops. Taste is slight alcoholic dry bitter dark chocolate and raisins (minus sweetness) later. Low carbonation. Not exactly smooth either. Full body. A bit too dry for me. And a bit one dimensional. Also didnt like the alcohol.

Bottle from an Albert Heijn supermarket. Pours clear dark brown with a foamy, lasting, off-white head. The aroma contains roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, some spices, raisin and iron. It tastes medium sweet and medium bitter with a dry, bitter, roasted finish. Slick and watery texture, soft carbonation. Not really an ’Extra’ Stout, expected it to be more roasted, bitter and hoppy.

On tap. Pours black with full nitro head. Aromas of dry roasted malts and black coffee muted by nitro. Flavors of dry dusty roasted malts, acidic black coffee and grain.

28A16. A bit thin. Properly roasted, some coffee. Moderately bitter. Well balanced, just not much happening. OK but boring. After warming up the roasted bitterness gets harsher, less balanced now, and not very nice. Needs more creamyness and/or sweetness. Pity.

Bottle. Pours a deep black with a big foamy beige head. Lots of lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, hops and coffee. Taste is espresso, roasted malts, hops and ashes. The finish is superb, long lasting and full of more hops and espresso. Dry and strongly carbonated. Delicious Stout.
