Pours a light golden color, mildly hazy. Small to medium white head. Not terribly sticky, fades away pretty quick. The aroma is honey-ish pale malt, very simple. Some apple cider, white grape juice and a little peach-iness. Mild herbal note in the background. The malt is sorta doughy but more just sweet fresh grain. Not a lot going on, really. The taste is sweet with a simple, mild malt flavor. You can taste the fruitiness of the malt well, but it’s still mild enough that even the small amount of hops comes through with a touch of grassiness. Mouthfeel is light with unremarkable carbonation. This is the second beer in the Cismontane Single Malt series that I’ve tried, and it’s a bit simpler and drabber than the Munich, which isn’t a surprise. Still, it’s fun to try these beers, but the experience would be enhanced by trying them all together.

Pours gold with a slight white head. Aroma is crisp - maybe a bit of citrus - and interesting malt. Sort of like pilsner that lacks spicy hop. Med minus body. Flavor is like a pleasant malt liquor. Damn few of those. Very mild hop, but it is detectable. Seems more floral than herbal. Drinkable.

50cl bottle pours with a crystal clear gold body that supports a white head. The aroma offers up nice crisp spicy hops and then running into floral hops as well as a bready sort of caramel sort of biscuit malt note. The taste has pleasing hoppiness with floral hop bitterness mixed with a spicy onion dank hop note as well as a bit of spicy hoppiness. Behind the hops murmurs the same kind of malt notes noted in the nose. I get a mix of caramel to doughy to kind of biscuit like malts. It ends with lingering floral to slightly lime like hoppiness. I love the modestly hop forward aspect of this beer. The malts are there but the hops keep it fresh and interesting.
