Sample at the Columbus location. Clear brownish-amber color with a medium light beige head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit, malt and yeast. Medium body with flavors of roast malt, dark fruit and earthy yeast. The finish is sweet with a fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap at the Sacramento/Natomas venue. Pours dark copper with a white head. Light spicy aroma. Med body, maybe better. Flavor is malty, yeasty, spicy. Fairly flavorful. Perhaps a bit too smooth. Weird that. Think there’s some mixed fruit esters.

On Tap at BJ’s Reno Location. Pours out a hazy amber topped with a white head. Aroma of malts and spice. Tast a nice mix of pit fruit and sweetness. A little ABV at the end.

[At BJ’s in Boulder, Colorado] A clear dark orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with hints of caramel and alcohol. The flavor contains notes of alcohol, yeast, spices, and nutmeg, leading to a dry hoppy end. Not bad, just not interesting.
