Capped 750 from Star Grocery in Berkeley, CA. Pours dark brown/black. Aroma of whiskey over sweet malt. Rye is detectable. Flavor is very boozy. Mostly rye. Lots of oak. Notes of bourbon vanilla. Finishes sweat whisky flavors.

Bottle. Pours with a cola, near black hued body with a medium retentive tan head. Aromas show big cola, fudge, and whiskey barrel, some minerals, chewy, vanillin, light leather, medium ester, jammy/fruit preserves. Dark fruit. Flavors are leathery, minerals, cola and bourbon. Reasonably dry finish with tons of tannins and bitterness. Oaky notes and a bit harsh. Medium carbonation, fuller body, lots of tannins.

Woodshed 2.0. Great name for a beer. I surfed down at the Sloughs a couple of times. Bottle share courtesy of Sparky. It pours with a very dark looking body that supports a weak tan head of foam. The aroma offers up malt sweetened dark roasted malts nuanced by molasses mixed with smooth whiskey. The taste is smooth and rich starting with dark roasted malts and nearly burnt malts and then heading into smooth sweet whiskey notes. Smooth sipper of a beer.
