Cask @ Haymarket, Edinburgh [300413]
Deep amber, clear, dense white head, good lacing
Aroma of spicy herbal hops, coriander, black pepper
Taste of caramel malts, toasted malts, coriander, black pepper, odd flavour, too much black pepper/coriander, unbalanced and overloaded
Palate - Medium body. Finish - more toasted caramel malts come through, long linger of those aromatic herbs and too much black pepper
Overall - This isn’t working - without the extra stuff chucked in there’s a decent beer under there

Cask at The Old White Swan in York. Brewed for Nicholson’s. Pours dark amber with a creamy beige head. Light floral aroma. Med body. Flavor is light roast caramel with a coriander/citrus accent. Seems to go a bit spicy. Finishes very smooth and mellow - not dry - mildly bitter. Nice tho.
