On tap at the pour house. Pours a pitch black color with a medium brown head. A big roasted malts nose, tobacco. Very roasty, licorice, chocolate, ashy, very dry. Awesome. Very good.

Bottle from Whole Foods in Santa Monica. Black with a tan head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt, licorice, coffee and some dark fruit. Smooth and with a good balance. Not bad at all.

Bottle. Dark brown/blackish beer with a brown head. Roast and light coffee aroma. Roast and coffee flavor with toffee and pine. Medium-plus bodied. Roast and chocolate linger with toffee and pine.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

Bottle. Pours with a black hued body with a tan head that leaves good lace. Aromas are of prunes, dark fruit, lightly floral hop, chocolate, roast, ash, and a bit of a nutty malt character. Flavors are astringent, massive black malt roast character, nutty, chocolate, dark fruit. Quite bitter. Roast flavor is a bit one dimensional and over bearing. Lively carbonation, medium body and sweetness. Not my favorite beer from these guys.

Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours very dark brown/black with a transient tan head. Aroma is dark chocolate over smooth dark malt. Full bodied. Flavor has some dark fruit, some earthiness, chocolate, smooth dark roast malt, and it lacks coffee. Flavors are strong. It finishes towards dark. Very unique. Complex even.
