Peregrine Pilsner is a rich Czech Style Pilsner brewed with the finest Pilsen malt and noble hops from the Saaz region. It is brilliant gold, full bodied with a dense white head and with lively carbonation. With a clean crisp palate, dry finish, delicate lingering floral notes, Peregrine is the pinnacle of what a pilsner should be.

A rare or new beer from mendo. From a bottle it looks half decent, typical yellow beer. Smell is yeast like and a tad of lemon, just perhaps, but absolutely no skunk on this. . Taste initially makes me think bitter pilsner then it develops a liking to my tongue. Yes, good sizzle and cut on each sip, comes across quite fresh . After a while this bitter near back of throat on tongue thing starts happening. Each new swig is quite satisfying. All the way to the end this bottle intrigues me. Yet, that back of throat thing starts to get medicinal on the finish.

12 ounce bottle from Bottle & Wedge, Huntington. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized foamy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of sweet cereal grains, nuts, citrus. The taste is citrus, doughy malts, mild grassy hops. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.

Sample at SF Beer Week Opening Gala 2014. (my first one from this brewery) Hazy golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma and taste of grass, bread, some citrus and light spices. The fnish was dry. Easy to drink.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento. Pours hazy gold with a 3.5 finger foamy white head. Aroma is mildly bready and mixed spicy/herby/grassy. Med body. The flavor is bready, but in a full bodied way that is not heavy. Whatever that means. The hop is nice - not so bitter as Iโd like, but itโs hoppy. It is clean/crisp/dry. And thereโs a bit of floral. Almost overcoming the other hops, if I think too much about it. Itโs a really good beer.
