can pours very dark orange to amber to light brown, smooth dark beige to light brown head. aroma is buttery and nutty, slightly boozy, medium to faint malty. Somewhat less malty aroma than expected. Flavor is sweet nutty, medium malty, slightly buttery, end is spicy and nut shell bitter, it's like they totally overdid the english strong bitter hops, yielding a rounding bitterness that is a lot more heavy than the buttery maltiness it was supposed to balance. Also faint flowery notes. all in all comes off as a bit of a booze bomb, reminding me of industrial imperial lager as well as UK barley wines, quite brutal, not that tasty.

Tap at taproom. Amber-copper colour, small beige head and lace. Light sweet nutty nose. Medium-bodied. Sweet and malty. Raisins, alcohol. Low bitterness, so leans to UK in style.
