Bottle from Browarium Sklepy Piwne. Aroma is fruity hops, citrus, tropical notes, orange, mild grapefruit, with soft biscuity malt. Flavour is light sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. A fine basic hoppy APA, surprisingly enjoyable after a couple of abysmal Beer City brews.

500ml bottle. Murky, orangey golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, osteoporosing, yellow-ish white head. Fruity hoppy aroma, has hints of orange, passion fruit, mango, a resinous touch, some grassy spiciness. Taste is grassy and fruity hoppy, slightly unspecific tropical fruity, minimally citrusy and zesty, biscuity malty background with minimally strawy touch; soft palate, minimally slumbery carbonation. We may learn a lesson on global styles and local terroir here by making a careful generalisation. As often as I felt an unpleasantness about Dutch Pale Ales finding them overcarbonated and slightly chalky, their Polish siblings come along soft on the palate and gently carbonated. On the other hand there’s a touch of imperfection in them, or better, they lack the ultimate hop punch and some body compared to US Pale Ale specimen. Or maybe this is just the prejudice automatically developed if you’re trained on US archetypes.
