12 ounce bottle. Hazy dark bronze, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of raisin, toffee, dark fruits, piney hops. The taste is toffee, nuts, dark fruits, caramel, toasted malt, green, herbal hop. Medium bodied. Solid.

Tap at MAH. Filtered dull amber-brown body. Creamy, steady beige head. Not capturing any modern IPA or IIPA tones, drinks like a big Scotch Ale meets an antequated IIPA. A touch brutal. Not desirable.

Draft at the Old Fashioned. Murky amber-brown color. Minimal off-white head. Solidly hopped, with a significant malt backbone as well. Sweet, pretty balanced overall. Drinkable but somehow takes anything extreme out of the style. Standard at best.

Sampled from the tap at the 2010 GTMW. Poured a near clear deep amber with a light brown head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma had a strong pine note with a slight underlying sweet cereal note. Flavor was similar strong pine start the mellowed to a sweet cereal finish and light caramel note.
