Bottle from S’s trip to UK at home in HK. Hazy muddy yellow-tan. Aroma is straw and pineapple and biscuit malt. Taste is big round bitter and boozy - lemony bitter hop with biscuity somewhat crisp malt to balance. Smooth slightly rich palate. Lasting boozy warmth and bitterness. Really nice once it warms a little out of the fridge. Dull look belies the flavor. Great.

330ml bottle @ Blind Tiger, Shrewsbury. Pours a misty gold, white head. Aroma has good citra fruit, taste is perhaps not as full, luscious and juicy as other Citra DIPAs, restrained by a robust bitterness but it’s there, with some exotic shades. Good, but not great.

Bottle at the brewery at Bermondsey. Haze orange brown lasting white head. Big citra yellow grapefruit aroma. Very herby hoppy in mouth. Too over carbonated. A little bit too strong for me. Bit too syrupy.

Level 42 bottleshare. Santa is flying past and below! Thanks to Leighton. Light haze on this gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Smooth malts, fluffy and creamy sweet. Hops bring spicy orange and orange peel. Light but bitterish grapefruit. Trace of hop skunk on the light and semi dry finish. Long bitter linger. Nice beer but lacks a wow factor when compared to the many great DIPAs kicking about these days.

Bottle at level 42 Xmas share, thanks to Leighton. It pours cloudy gold with medium white head. The aroma is rich, sweet, juicy, peach, nectarine, tangerine, quite creamy, brioche and orange muffin. The taste is crisp, dry, pretty juicy, creamy fruits, peach, apricot, mango salsa, mellow alcohol, muffin and candy with a smooth finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Pretty juicy and quaffable. Nice one.

Bottle split at L42 Xmas murder scene, thanks to LKS, 19/12/16. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is caramel melt, light spice, orange peel, touch of grapefruit, soft bread. Taste comprises mellow hop, cantaloupe melon, straw, mandarin, toasted brioche. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok DIPA but not a big hit for me ... a touch too mellow and lacking hops.
