Golden Citra Hopped IPA.
Knee Buckler is a wonderfully golden IPA style beer. At 5.2% there is good strength and lots of initial hop bitterness which is matched with a little hint of sweetness from the use of Crystal and Caramalts, The aftertaste and aroma comes from a blend of American hops, Citra, Cascade and Columbus which gives a distinct fruity finish.

Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours a golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Nose is vague hints of citrus and grass. In the mouth the texture is quite watery, but is made up for by the range of flavours. Floral hops, lemon, and tangerine – quite a lot of berry fruits too. Finish is bitter with grapefruit traces. This has good a good bite to it – nice.

Pours a clear golden colour with a small thin bubbly white head that settled. Aroma is lemony, some grassy hops and a hint of sweet toffee. Moderately sweet taste, sweet light malt and fruity flavours, melon and lemons with some grass and a citrusy hop bitterness.

Cask at Gate House (JDW), half-pint after breakfast. Filmy layer, close-to-clear amber-gold. Moderate smell of ripe citrus. Leafy hops and lemon to the taste buds, malty sweetness beneath. Ends with a quite nice dry bitter touch. Quite alright. (Doncaster 31.01.2020).

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A pale amber pour with a tight cream head; aroma of orange peel and pith; creamy in the mouth with an orange taste; followed by a sharp zesty orange and grapefruit bitterness. Rather good.

Pint on tap at The Wilfred Wood, Hazel Grove. Clear still amber beer with thin creamy white head. Looks good! Very mild nose of citrus and malt. Lightly hoppy and bitter. Very nice IPA, no ground breaker but solid nonetheless.
