On tap at Reclamation. Black with large brown highlights with medium beige head. Aroma is nice bourbon, medium body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is bourbon, chocolate, oak, and some booze.

I have not figured out why ratebeerians love barrel aged beer. If you want whiskey, drink it, if you want beer, drink it, why flavor beer with a whiskey barrel? BTW imperial stout is not my thing either so if you like impy stout, flip my numbers and get this, it’s unusually on terrible style. Big & black. Big choco moose head. Whisky is palatably present all over. Mouth coating impy stout, kicks you in the jaw. Volatile. Way too much for this lager lover. Just way too much. I detect a tad of tartness but that may be my mind going dizzy towards the end of this glass, whew. Nasty nellie rototiller smack you in the face right here on route 8!
