On tap at Intuition, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out medium roasted malt upfront, with light dry cocoa. Flavour is a bit boozy and perfumey, with medium roast, perfume and booze. Unbalanced and just not constructed carefully. Not too good.

Keg at the brewery tap, 19/02/15. Black topped with a tan covering. Nose is light roast, charr, cocoa powder, not a whole lot going on. Taste comprises earthy roast, chocolate, touch of hoppage, spice, earthy. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation, over carbed, semi drying close peppered with roasted tones. Low end for the style, never gets out of first gear @pedestrian impy.

Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can poured into a glass. Black with small light brown head. Aroma is dark malt, medium body, low carbonation, and good small-bubble lacing. Taste is dark malt, ash, caramel malt, some herbal hops, some dark chocolate, pretty dry finish. Not my thing.

Growler opened on the bus ride to the Hunahpu release. Pours black with light brown head. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate and some coffee. Similar flavors with some sweetness. Medium to full body with minimal carbonation. A decent brew.

Tried on tap at the Florida Brew Fest 2011 addition. It pours a nice looking mahogany with infra red edges and pretty effervescent mocha head with swirls of whiter hues here and there. The aroma is roasty, a little bit of toffee covered burnt toast and chocolate covered malt balls. The taste is full dark roasted malts to near robust levels with lighter notes of toffee, espresso and burnt toast. It stays highly roasty to just about being burnt without reaching ashy levels as it stays grounded with lots of light chocolate malts and maltiness. Wait, this is an Imperial Stout here on RB? Well that’s not right. This is a very good stout though.
