Sample at GABF 10/04/2014, thanks to my BIL for assistance with note-taking. Brown-black color with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing. Coffee, malt and chocolate in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted coffee, malt and sweet chocolate. The finish is roasty with a coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

Smell is coffee, what else? Color is black coffee. Some co2 but mostly flat. Taste is what else but coffee? No volatile whisky attitude in this mild blend. Quite acceptable.

On tap at the brewpub. Black with small dark brown highlights and medium beige head. Aroma is espresso, medium body, medium carbonation, and good small bubble lacing. Taste is coffee and some roasty. My favorite Morgantown brew so far (did side by side with there stout).

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a large foamy brown head that faded and left minimal lacing. The aroma was very strong brewed coffee with a touch of vanilla. The flavor was bitter with brewed coffee, burnt toast and a hint of wood. Long finish of brewed coffee and burnt toast. Medium body. Solid.
