Saison Brewed with Kiwi
An experimental kiwi Saison with a funky bubblegum Belgian yeast aroma. A tart fruity blast shocks the palate followed by a familiar Belgian spiciness, and some unexpected toffee and toasted grain sweetness. Aided by the kiwi fruit, a grassy hop filled finish dries the palate with a resonating bitterness.

Tap at Brickhouse pre GTMW 2013. Orange-copper body. Steady creamy beige head. Pretty mellow and restrained, not quite what I was hoping for. The kiwi comes off vegetal. Malty with some tangy edges. OK.

Draft at the brewpub, Bellaire. Hazy dark/medium orange-brown body, medium clumping off-white head. Spicy, dark fruit nose, like a pie right out of the oven, spicy with caramel and clove notes. Lots of tart kiwi in the body, in addition to clove, bubblegum, crackers, and hints of apple skin. Nice interplay of fruit and spice. Not particularly sweet. Very good beer.
