Sample at Great Taste of the Midwest on 08/09/2014: Hazy brownish-amber color with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of tart fruit, yeast and oak. Medium-bodied with flavors of tart cherries, yeast and oak. The finish is fruity with a mildly sour cherry aftertaste. Decent overall.

750ml bottle. Not sure how I haven’t already rated this one but..Unfiltered orange-brown. Thin, oily head. Nice in your face sourness. This one displays more balance than the last bottle I had. The bourbon grounds it, and never overwhelms it. Unique and well done.

Courtesy of dschiller. 750mL pours orange with copper hues and supporting a thin near white head of foam. The aroma is a light mix of vinegar, lime, faint barnyard and a bit of apple esteriness. The taste has cherry tartness and thin acidic notes heading into some crushed aspirin tartness and vinegar. Overall I’m liking this as it doesn’t get crazy with tart acidity.

Sampled from the tap at 2010 FOBAB. Poured a hazy amber with a white head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma was full of tart red berries, particularly raspberries, with a hint of bourbon. Flavor had sour berries, particularly raspberries again, as well as funk that was a backing note.
