Keg at the Appleton Restaurant, 4/26/19. Dark brown, large frothy light brown head, good retention. Aroma of smoked ham and roast. Taste is roasted malt, coffee grounds, smoke. Thin, sticky, and just the faintest hint of diacetyl. Terrible.

12oz bottle. Deep amber-brown color, approaching black. Frothy beige head. Sweet, chocolate coffee aroma, pretty pleasant. Actually one of the better Fox River beers I’ve had. Smooth chocolate cocoa tones. I’m sort of flabbergasted that I am enjoying a Fox River product. Good creamy chocolate Stout.
