Opaque black with a a side-lacing beige head. brutal port wine aroma. Quite brutal, the wine barrel tones overwhelm and dominate. Chocolate port win all the way. Faint cherry tones, but way overwhelmed. Brutal sour tobacco notes. Some chocolate shows up at it mellows and approaches room temperature. An interesting experiment, I can see how it would grow on you.

Sampled at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark brown with a slight red hue with light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has acidic/medicinal cherry notes with roasted malts, a bit clashing. Flavor starts acidic cherries (slightly medicinal) with backing roasted malts.
