A German style dark wheat ale brewed with exclusively German malts. Dark in body but very drinkable, this is a must-try.

Hazy orange-brown. Soapy, steady beige head. Chocolate banana aroma, similar taste. Mild and refreshing. Watery sweet finish. OK, true to style, but lacks much depth.

Enjoyed on tap at Revolution Brewery in Chicago, IL with some friends prior to seeing the band F*ed Up. I didn’t take tasting notes, but from what I remember this looked really nice in the glass, dark amber with a rich head in a weiss glass. Aroma was a bit faint, but definite malt presence. The one thing that stuck out for me was that this one had an apricot flavor, which could’ve been an off-flavor, definitely ester-y and yeasty. It was still good, just tasted like it may have come from the bottom of the keg.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains with a hint of light fruit and bread. Flavor has grains with some bread and a bit of caramel sweetness in the finish. Nice and smooth.
