Draught at REAL A Gastropub, Honolulu, HI
Dark mahogany color with creamy head. Mild aroma of caramel and apples. Smooth mouthfeel; Caramel flavor, with moderate residual sweetness, light fruity touch (apples), correct bitterness, some darker caramel and lightly roasted malts in the end.
Feels a bit industrial, but it’s not bad.

Sample at the Pyramid Seattle brewpub. Pours a very dark brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Medium body with a roasty character and notes of sweet malt, coffee and hops. The finish is short with a malty aftertaste.

Tap at the Sacramento Pyramid. Pours dark brown with a creamy beige head. Plummy dark fruit aroma. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is dark fruit over a heavily roasted malt. Finishes moderately sweet with some metallic bitter. Not so goopy as some BPs. Solid, but not extravagant.
