Just in time for fest season and crisp weather. Big, malty, sweet, and a touch of warmth from the large character of this beer. Munich malt serves as the base malt and is complimented by Caramunich, Carared, and Pilaen malt to help shape this lovely and complex German lager.

Flight at the source: pours clear light brown with an off white head. Aroma is caramel, toasty, light hops. Taste is bitter at the front, sweeter at the middle, dark fruits. Alcohol well covered. Solid.

Draft at the Fairfax County Brewfest. Poured a clear ruby reddish color with a small off-white head. Aroma was some toasted malts, alcohol. It's big, but not overly alcoholic given the abv. A touch sweet, but that's how it goes.
