Rating from bottle collection/historic notes. Bottle bought at Bristol Beer Emporium’s bottle shop in 2014. Poured black with a small, lasting beige head. Aroma of chocolate, malt, molasses, light coffee, dark fruits. Quite sweet, light roasted bitterness. Towards being full bodied, with a thick texture. Pretty decent stuff.

Bottle from the Beer Emporium, Bristol. Well, there’s no way I can improve on the review below and I would agree with nearly all of it. This black imperial stout, was indeed sweet and malty, with big chocolate and brown sugar character, some dark fruits and a peaty, dryish finish. Very drinkable and a bargain at £2.70.
