This strong porter is deliciously smooth and rich, with complex flavours from four dark malts perfectly balanced with bitterness from Centennial and Simcoe hops.

Cask at The Elm Tree, Cambridge. A dark brown coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, dark fruit taste and aroma. Pleasant enough porter.

17/01/2020. Cask at the 11th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of hops, dark fruit, citrus, roasted malt and chocolate. Moderate to medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Nice roasty bittersweet finish. Tenth, and best, Papworth beer I've had.
