We brew this doppelbock with fresh hops from Waalwijk (thanks for growing Chris de Peffer!) directly after harvest (about 22hrs after harvest) to get the best taste possible. Wort was decocted like the original style bock to obtain a malty dark bock to tickle your tastebuds! Enjoy !!!

330ml bottle. Almost opaque, mahogany colour with small to average, creamy, slowly diminishing, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, nutty, slightly chocolately, minimalyl roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of praline, Brazil nut, milk chocolate, whiffs of liquorice. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty and nutty, slightly chocolately, minimally roasty, dark malty, notes of praline, caramel, dark caramel, some hazelnut, a weak, fruity touch of red berries.
Slightly creamy testure, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation.
Pretty nice, nutty malty flavours, nice mouthfeel - good.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Het Biermoment. Dutch brewery #554. Dark brown with an off-white head. Dark caramel, red and dried fruits in the aroma. Sweet taste with a nice malt bitter finish. Warming and thick-bodied; a solid doppelbock
