Vrijstad Barrel aged Quadruppel is een donker, zwaar bier en is gerijpt op eikenhouten whiskey vaten. Om de complexiteit van dit overweldigende smaak festival naar de buiten categorie te tillen is tijdens de rijping een wilde Brettanomyces gist toegevoegd om het 'Orval' smaakje er lichtjes aan toe te voegen.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Kulenborgse Bierhandel. Dark brown with a beige head. Dark malt aroma with caramel, raisins, figs, whiskey and some cherry sourness. Sweet taste with a sour note and a long lasting sweet boozy finish.
