Due to an unfortunately long-lived, and worldwide, case of mass psychosis illness, cultures have willingly come to accept the reality of the “pumpkin.” Is it the tap water? The lust for corporate coffee? The unbridled adults driven mad with a yearly need to feed their pumpkin beer addiction?
Not to be one to rain on this mass psychosis party, we’ve added “pumpkin” and spices to this seasonal brew. Let the hysteria continue!

Keg at the brewery taproom - Hackney Wick. Pours black-brown with a dense, lasting creamy beige head. Medium to big sweet flavour, some slight autumnal spices, relaxed cocoa, low roast, raisins, burnt toffee. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, a little sticky, subtle pumpkin notes, creamy vanilla, more cocoa, dark fruit accents. It is interesting stuff. And it is reasonably drinkable. Decent boost sauce.

330ml bottle on 8th March 2021 from Old Street Brewery Bottle Shop. Pours deep sepia with brown foam soon reducing to a peripheral ring. Sweet candied fruits and spices in aroma. Hints of cherry, marshmallow, cinnamon. Blend of spicy roastiness in-mouth with bitter chocolate, savoury notes and smoky spiciness. A long finish of nutty roast malts, whiskies and agreeable spiciness. Full bodied with a velvet smooth mouthfeel. Sublime.
