Bottle, shared with Spicy Days guys. Very dark brown blackish body, with a tan-yellow head, small and lasting. Heavy maltiness and heavier still alcohol in the aroma, maybe a touch of sweetish coffee. Huge, huge, immensely pleasant taste, sweetish, smooth, roast - coffee notes, some cocoa perhaps, light, very well integrated maple. Complex and yet tasty from the first to the last drop. Far better hidden alcohol taste-wise considering the very intensive aroma. Fantastic stuff!

Bottle shared in London - cheers to MITCH. Pours black-brown with a foamy beige head. Rich, had mellow maple, bittersweet dark chocolate, some alcohol. Full bodied, lightly chewy, oily, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, more baking cocoa, raisins, a little ashy roast, maple. Good fun.

Craft Islington. Bottleshare. Opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth soft dark malts, little spicy chocolate. Soft maple and malt cream. Finishes smooth with some building spicy bittermess. Hides the abv well but I wanted more from this.

06/10/2018 - sampled from bottle on RBBSG 2018 Dark brown, small lacing. Nose is dark malts, caramel, maple. Tast is like a liquid praline, dark malts, chocolate, caramel, bit maple, oily. Nice aftertaste too.

From bottle. Black color with beige head. Malty aroma, roasted, caramel, maple, licorice, coffee, cocoa, chocolate. Sweet and moderate bitter taste. Full silky oily body with soft arbonation.

330 ml bottle. Pours black with a short tan head. Aromas of maple syrup, treacle, sweet coffee, green wood and roasted malts. Flavors follow same with additional oak, dry dark fruit and definite alcohol. A very good sipper.
