On tap at Foeders in Amsterdam, with markoijelena. Black pour with a creamy brownish foam. Nose: mostly sugar cake, tons of syrup, vanilla, a bit of olive-aroma (very mild). Mouth: sweet roast, vanilla, medium bitter roast finish. Good stuff!

33cl bottle. A black beer with a small tan head. Aroma of very sweet dark strong malt, maple syrup, chocolate, melasse. Taste of strong dark sweet malt, maple syrup, sugar, melasse, some chocolate, sticky and moderate boozy.

Tap at Arendsnest, looking down the canal, 31st July 18. Pours black, not a great head. Aroma is liquorice, booze, chocolate. Taste is sweet, then bitter chocolate, some maple syrup pancakes for sure, drinks below the 14%. Love it.

Black beer, brown bubbly head. Surprisingly light scent, malt and coffee. Taste is wonderful. Malt, coffee, woodiness from the chips, coffee, some light terrorist and a rich, boozy finish. Dangerous stuff!

Bottle @ home. Opaque pitch black color, average sized beige head. Aroma is malts, lightly maple, dark malts. Taste malts, dark malts, maple, sweetness, slightly sugary. Lovely mouthfeel: silky, syrupy, soft carbonation. Dangerously drinkable, doesn't taste like to 14% at all.

Black color, off-white head woth moderate retention. Aroma has notes of roasted malts, black ripe fruits, some molasses. Flavor is slightly sweet, light presence of maple syrup, some roasty. Light sweetness in the final, light coffee and alcohol perfectly hidden.
