DESCRIPTION
Karōshi is our first solo Double IPA and we wanted to go big with it. Full of Nelson Saving, El Dorado and Mouteka giving those big hitting citrusy, juicy notes. An organic yeast strain from Portland blended with a wild saccaromyces strain add a funky edge to the brew.
Artwork: Karōshi’s name can be translated as “overwork death”. Simon and JT brewed this beer whilst going through our biggest expansion yet.

330ml bottle. Hazy to murky, yellow-ish, dark golden colour with small to average, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Muggy, tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of overripe tropical fruit. Taste is bitter, tropical fruity hoppy, slightly alcoholic, notes of overripe tropical fruit, mango, minimally sugary, caramel malty basis. Full body.

33cl bottle from Boxbeers. Bottled 17/08/17 Poured hazy golden color with a thick white head. Piney, caramelly, hoppy aroma. Pine, citrus, toffee, fudge even, nice bitterness. Really nice bite here and i like the malty backbone. Solid dipa!

Cloin's 20K @ T42. Thanks to Cloin himself. Hazy gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is light, semi dry and has modest fine carbonation. Light malts, sweetish. Piney hop over spicy citrus. A little tangy citrus underneath. Hop spicy finish. Satisfying and clean.

Pours muddy yellow with a large, airy head. Aroma is tropical fruit, goose berries and pine needles. Hoppy and fruity taste of orange peels, pine needles and lime. Dry finish.
A bit rough around the edges but still pretty good.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Gipsy Hill Karoshi ].Murky matt medium yellow orange colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, pine, spruce, fruity hops, fruity. Flavor is moderate tpo heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sweet fruit, fruity, fruit juice, dry grass, hop bitter, earthy notes. Flarra krokius. Semiguldfärgad medelgrumlig. Doftar fin fint av papaya och mango mestadels.smskar likadant med tillägg av lite bärighet . Lite underlig vass lätt syrlig eftersmak God Dipa. Varför inte bättre betyg då? Jo eftersmaken lite syntetiskt konstigt syrlig som gör att ölen INTE kan kallas helt balanserad.

very hazy greyish pale yellow colour, huge, not too dense off-white head; aroma of marmalade, overripe, almost rotten tropical fruits and peach, as well as hints of celery; taste of rotten sweet tropical fruits, orange and some horseradish-like spiciness; not bad
