A deep dark stout with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with light vinous character, alcohol warmth, light bourbon barrel notes, vanilla, very nice and rich. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, light bourbon barrel notes, pleasant and rich. On tap at Hautes Plaines location.

Thanks, Derek B.!
American oak with some "meaty" notes. Taste is along the same lines, quite thick. A bit too oaky. A bit boozy.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with light retention and minor lacing notes. Aroma of sweet fudge notes with some very strong woody bourbon/vanilla notes and some charred oak notes. Taste is also a complex mix of fudge notes offset by some strong woody quality bourbon notes with some vanilla notes. Body is pretty full with oily texture and medium carbonation with warming alcohol notes. Solid BA stout with a nice level of complexity and you can easily detect the quality barrels used in this one.
