Cask at the Watford Beer Festival 2013. Poured a clear copper colour with a thin, scummy white head. Aroma of strawberries, malts with a slight plasticy note. Malty flavours dominate with with some grassy hop and a little metallic edge. Finish was pine needles and burnt toast, culminating in a rather astringent bitterness.

Cask gravity at the Watford beer fest 2013. Aroma is big fruity cranberry, berry, hedgerow, alcohol. Rich amber red colour with a fleeting off white head. Flavour is nice nutty dried fruit and caramel. Medium body and medium carb. Good condition.

Cask-conditioned at the Dorset & Wiltshire beeriodical, the Seven Stars, Bristol 9/1/2013. Amber with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of cereal malts with a touch of hedgerow fruit. Easy drinking, with more solid malts, a hint of sweetness and decent bitter finish. Fine.
