Pilsner has been a style we’ve produced from day one. We were one of the very first micro-breweries in London to produce a lager style beer. A classic pilsner, hopped with Saaz which adds pleasant floral, spicy and herbal overtones to the beer.

Bottle at home, picked up from the brewery, 01/07/14. Clear golden, moderate off white covering, light carbonation bubbledom evident. Nose is pale malt, diacetyl, buttery, grass, apple orchard. Taste recovers a little, bready and pale malts, grassy, light apple skins, mineral notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp and refreshing close. I chugged this back on a warm summers evening, not a great beer by any means, light infection I imagine but cold and thirst quenching none the less. A lower score perhaps in the winter!?

Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and fairly dry. Mild fine carbonation. Apples on the nose, oh oh! Smooth malt. Apples morphing in to mild marmalade. Soft finish. Way to green and needs to be much crisper.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours perfectly clear, rich gold with a frothy white head that fades out quickly. The aroma holds husky grains, ripe citrus, some bread and leaves. Light sweet flavor with mellow biscuits, slight dough, bitter grain husks and grass. Light bodied with soft carbonation; definitely lacks condition. Mild sweetness to finish but not enough. Some further leaves, faint grass, pale bread. A touch watery. Needs work.

Bottle from Brick Brewery. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose soft, doughy, cereal, light toast and straw. The taste is doughy, buttered toast, cereal, light apple & pear sweetness in the background, spice and hay with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Errs a bit on the sweet side. Pretty so-so.
