Draught. Pured black with medium ecru head. Aroma is malty toast and caramel. Roasty full body, with toffee and caramel notes. Smoky finish, as if some barrel aging had taken place. A difficult beer to place, not really a bock, not a porter, not a schwarzbier.

Pours very dark brown with a four finger tan head. Sort of smokey chocolate aroma. Medium body; foamy carbonation. Flavor is mildly smokey and somewhat burnt malt. No chocolate. Finish is like some sort of bakery dessert flavor. Then maybe some chocolate. Or not.
