Draft. Rich amber beer with an off-white head. brandy and rich malt aroma. Brandy, rich malt, and light caramel flavor. Medium bodied. Caramel and rich malt lingers with light brandy.

Tap at the Bistro BA fest. As Batch 1000 Double Kilt Lifter. At ll.7%. Pours hazy reddish amber with no head. Aroma is sweet malt. Full bodied with mild carbonation. Favor is light fruit and oak over malt. Finish is silky darkness over malt. Finishes with a bit of chocolate. --- Beer merged from original tick of Double Kiltlifter - Bourbon Barrel Aged on 23 Jan 2019 at 20:44 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8.5. Original review text: Tap at the brewpub. Dark brown color; a few bubbles for head. Aroma of whiskey. Near full bodied. Flavor is mildly smoky, dark malt with definite whiskey. Flavor is smooth, almost dark treacly malt with whiskey and a touch of smokiness. To me it seems like it could be rye rather than bourbon, but itβs hard to be sure. On balance maybe Iβll go with bourbon. Clearly not dry. Not bitter, but the whiskey somewhat makes up for that. Smooth, delicious sipper. Quite nice.
