Draft. A deep red beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has strong notes of malt combined with medium notes of alcohol and caramel. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of alcohol, malt, and caramel. The alcohol warms the mouth and burns in the throat.

From tap at the brewery. Pours hazy dark orange with a table off-white head. Aroma is dense caramelish, roasted breadish malt and with a light alcohol bite. Light metallic and yeasty touch. Thick creamy mouthfeel. Dense caramelish and light spiced yeasty base flavour. Light sharpness from the alcohol and dense caramel flavours. Smooth finish yet with a vague burn. Slight sticky final texture.

On tap. Pours a slightly hazy dark amber with a firm and creamy beige head with good retention. Intensely sweet aroma with lots of caramel, wood, Sherry and alcohol. Very full-bodied again with woody notes and hints of Sherry. Extremely warming alcohol in the finish. Nice one. 060709

Tap at Sac Brew. Pours a dark orangey brown with a significant orange tinged beige head. Aromas of caramel and citrus? Full bodied with mild carbonation. Flavor of sweetish roasted caramel, spice and citrus. There’s a pervading fruitiness that seems plummy. Almost seems to be a bit of canteloupe. Nice mouthfeel. A bit sweet, but not sticky. Finishes with a slightly balancing tartness, but dry it is not. Reminds of an aged strong ale in some aspects. Good experience.

Draft. Rich toffee colored beer with a low off-white head. Big toffee aroma. Toffee and caramel flavor with light earth and light yeast. Medium-plus bodied. Toffee and caramel lingers with light yeast. Alcohol well hidden.

On tap at the Bruery. Pours quite hazy with a red hue and no head. Aroma of belgian yeast, toffee, plum and honey. Taste is dark fruits, plum, apricot, honey, banana and some bitterness. Somewhat noticeable alcohol. Light but prickly carbonation.
