A collaboration long in the making. We give our freshly dumped bourbon barrels to B&E's Trees, where they go into a long slumber housing their magnificent Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup. We then take that magical barrel back and age an Imperial Stout in it, providing the earthy nuttiness of the Wisconsin Maple Trees to an already outstanding barrel aged stout. Enjoy this expression of collaboration and pure Wisconsin character.

Massive maple sweetness, toasted malts, deep dark chocolate, creamy and smooth, nice but a bit too sweet imo

Nice and black, little bit of foam on the edges. Smells a bit sweet, chocolatey, some coffee roast. Taste is gentle, seems a bit older? Some barrel notes, subtle bourbon. Quite boozy. After reveal: surprising lack of maple, only when looking.

Bottle, 650 ml shared with Max, Miro B and Zec. 2020 edition. Black with beige head. Lots of chocolate, cocoa, maple, sweet. Nice bitter finish. Oily. Medium to full bodied.

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a pitch black with a finger of beige foam. Very maple syrup forward nose with chocolate, caramel and vanilla that really come out as it warms. Bourbon on the palate with more maple syrup and cacao nib to balance out the maple sweetness. Not as sweet as some other maple beers I've had. Big, bold rich malt character with maple syrup on the finish. Great beer.

Shared from bottle at THT February 2018. Black with cream head. Sweet deep roasted malts, massive maple. Sweet earthy bitterness. Big sweet and bitter. Full body and soft carbonation. Syruppy feel is great. Very nice.
