An homage to the pioneers of hoppy beer, Garden of the Fugitives is a humble tribute to the beers of the Russian River Valley and Vermont that got us excited about hoppy beer in the first place. With notes of dried orange peel, happy cola gummies, pine needles, chanterelles and white pepper, this is the beer we want to drink in Autumn. It reminds us of days spent as a kid, picking up pine cones in the front yard to toss into the fire place.
We used this as an opportunity to investigate and experiment with how we season our water for more traditional and assertively bitter styles. Special acknowledgment and thanks goes to our friend Dan Cady (@brewerdan), a truly talented and careful brewer making beer on the West Coast, who helped us pay special attention to this detail.
