Viiking 12 % is a special beer with a golden-yellow colour, pure, slight caramel taste and of course strong. although it does not taste like that. The smooth taste and the well-balanced aroma makes this beer very special.

Can 330ml. @ home. [ As Harboe Bear Beer Xtra Strong 12% ].[ Courtesy of Serge ]. ABV: 12.0%. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration, marzipan malt, sweet malt, buzzy, light metalic finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20171106] 5-3-4-3-7

Golden with a small white head. Metallic aroma with a hint of cardboard. Sweet malty and metallic flavour with hot alcohol.

At a tasting, i’m not sure if i should "thank" anybody for this, but still the effort is noted, smallish head, deepish yellow color, fruity corny aroma, sweet candy and alcohol flavor, the alcohol is coarsely bitter and burns your throat, also something chemical. Yuck.

Can from the Shazteen Enterprise, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear light amber with a round bubbly white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is grainy, mineral malt, light sweet toffee. The flavour is moderate sweet, alcohol bitter with a dry, sweet, somewhat refreshing, soft alcoholic palate. Medium to full bodied with lively carbonation. Living in Malaysia, I’ve tasted my fair share of these malt liquors. None of them are good, but this one isn’t so bad. It’s much less sweet than i’m used to and the alcohol is not a prominent as you might expect. Not, bad, but I won’t be buying another one!

28.4.2015. Can. Aroma very sweet, candyish, alcohol. Clear golden colour. Taste strong alcohol and almost bourboney corny flavour. Eh. 4.2.
22.9.2025. Can. 12%, yet feels like 20% at least. Wow this is weird. Mega boozy, going xtra few steps to showcase it. Very boozy, burning, also quite sweet. Not much in terms of beer character, just alc. Medium vodkaish and light medicinal unpleasant notes. Disaster. 1.8.

50cl can at a Ratebeer tasting at ABCBeers. Very thin white head. Clear golden blond pour. Strong alcohol. Something unpleasant in the after-taste.

50cl can thanks to Dutchdrebus. Clear yellow to golden color, small to medium sized quickly diminishing white head that leaves a slight lacing. Smell malts, slightly sweetish and something weird. Taste malts, sweetness, some alcohol, sweet raisins. Medium body, medium carbonation. To me this is more like an imperial pilsener or a malt liquor.
