Viiking 12 % is a special beer with a golden-yellow colour, pure, slight caramel taste and of course strong. although it does not taste like that. The smooth taste and the well-balanced aroma makes this beer very special.

# 2561; 8/2021. As Harboe Bear Beer 12% Xtra strong Imported. Brewed and canned in EU. Identified on the basis of a barcode. Vague alcohol aroma - similar to cheap vodka. Clear gold body; white head with minimal persistance. Strong alcohol warmth, grainy, malty sweet, cheap vodka. Another example of weird and unnecessary style... 0,5 l, can, supermarket, Pilsen (Bohemia, CZ).

Can from local Albert I guess. Brewed... somewhere for Harboe. Hazy golden body, white head going away fast. Smells fairly bad, old maltiness, alcohol, salty, fishy, Alcohol attack in the sweetish taste, malty. Not as disgusting later on as it starts, but the alcohol is overdone even for 12%. Just a sub par malt liquor.

Ein Bier, das ich in einem tschechischen Supermarkt gefunden habe unc ich eigentlich nur mitgenommen habe, weil die Dose derartig häßlich war. Es ist ein primär alkoholisch-süßes Bier, ohne Aroma, Charakter und Freude. Man kann sich damit wunderber behämmert saufen, aber schmecken tut es absolut nicht.

Can split at L6 at the Tipple's had tasting, thanks to LKS, 17/04/19. Clear golden with a well presented off white cap. Nose is booze fumes, hint of apple, grass, pale malts, breads, sugars. Taste comprises grains, malts, sugars, caramel, cereals, corn. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, chewy feel, semi drying close with a splash of alcohol. Decent Licker ... drinks easy for the hefty 12!

Clear orangeish gold. Small white head. Aroma: solid malts, sweet candy, apricot esters, what is not necessarily the worst case. Full body. Average to lively carbonation. Taste: bombastic pure malts, strawberry, apricot, booze, a touch of hop. Light to medium bitterness coming both from hop and alcohol. Well, it is too heavy but not too bad.

Can shared in London - picked up in Brussels. Pours crystal clear gold with a creamy white head. Dense grainy malts define this beer, with notes of honey, alcohol. Full bodied, lightly oily, with fine to average carbonation. Hot finish, more honey, pale grains, white bread. Not bad for what a boozy beast it is.

Can shared at the Columbus tasting 17/04/2019. Many thanks! A clear golden orange coloured with a fine halo of white head. Aroma is semi sweet, appley, corn, alcohol. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, easy going, apple, low alcohol, corn, sweaty grains. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carboantion, rounded. Good.

17th February 2019 Level 6 bottleshare. Thanks to LKS for the can. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth and light palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth and sweet pale malts. Some vodka alcohol boost with a nice tangerine - orange marmalade. Pine. Modest spice on the smooth semi dry finish. Nice. Boosty and basic but tres drinkable.
